Dylanna, who comes from a large and diverse working-class family, moved to Erie in 2012 after leading human services agencies in Pittsburgh and Akron, Ohio. She was drawn to Northwest Pennsylvania’s potential and quickly realized that Erie County was the place she wanted to grow her roots.

 

Dylanna understands that people are what make Erie County special, and this is what connects her to our community.  Whether biking through the countryside, volunteering with animal rescues, or helping to organize a neighborhood watch, Dylanna loves working with residents from all walks of life.

 

In addition to her work leading a human services agency, Dylanna volunteers her time with the Certification for Healthcare Interpreters Board of Commissioners (CCHI) and the Erie Mayor’s New American Council, and is a board member for Bike Erie, Multicultural Healthcare Evaluation Delivery System (MHEDS), and UPMC Hamot Diversity Committee.  She is one of the founding organizers of Boulevard Park Association - an Erie neighborhood group working to connect neighbors.

Dylanna is now proud to call Erie County home. She and her husband, Greg, live in Erie with their three dogs and enjoy working alongside their friends and neighbors to create a better Erie County for all of us.

Dylanna understands Erie County’s future relies on having a strong and effective leader — one who will bring folks together at the table, collaborating to create a vibrant and thriving region that supports all residents.

While she recognizes the enormous potential of Northwest Pennsylvania, Dylanna also understands the challenges. She has worked with families struggling to make liveable wages and has taught in underserved communities, giving her a depth of understanding about the most vulnerable of our neighbors. 

​

Dylanna’s experience and leadership skills make her uniquely prepared to lead Erie County. She prides herself on finding unique solutions to challenges, uncovering untapped opportunities, and optimizing resources.

Dylanna is dedicated to expanding public-private partnerships as a solution to supporting Erie County’s economic growth and allowing our families and businesses to prosper.

She understands that county services are essential to creating a safer and healthier community for all residents, and she believes that addressing inequality in our community will create a stronger Erie County. 

She is committed to leading a county government that is transparent to taxpayers and responsible — and responsive — to all residents.
